
William A. Virchis
William A. Virchis is CEO of Virco Enterprises and the former director of visual and performing arts at the Sweetwater Union High School District, professor emeritus and artistic director at Southwestern Community College Theatre Department. Mr. Virchis has directed, produced and acted in over 250 productions. He is an award-winning theatre director, motivational speaker, wrestling coach and community activist and a former member of the Shakespeare Society, Friends of Balboa Park, Chula Vista City Arts Committee, P.A.C.C. County of San Diego Committee, the M.A.C.C. Project, H.P.T.F, and Classics for Kids. He is a columnist for the Chula Vista Star and production coordinator for the Chicano Federation. He is also a member of the San Diego Performing Arts Committee, National City Public Arts Committee, the Academy Award Nomination Committee, Screen Actors Guild and the Directors Guild of America. He is the producing artistic director of the first professional multicultural bilingual theatre company, Teatro Máscara Mágica.
