K.C. Alfred has worked as a photographer at The San Diego Union-Tribune for more than 20 years. He has photographed the San Diego's newsmakers, events and institutions for every section of the paper, including news, sports, business and entertainment. He has photographed everything from the local city council to presidents of the United States. In the sports world, he has photographed the Olympics, Super Bowls, World Series, NBA Finals, U.S. Opens and countless professional, NCAA and prep sporting events. He is an Emmy winner and has won a number of local and national photography awards. Prior to the Union-Tribune, he was a staff photographer at the Ventura County Star. He is a graduate of California State University-Long Beach.
