Jayne is the Union Tribune’s Digital Editor. Before ing the U-T, she worked as a multi-platform producer for CBS News in San Diego. During her tenure, she created original content tailored for online platforms. Jayne has experience in breaking news, entertainment news and investigative journalism. In 2024, Jayne earned an Emmy award for her work investigating the 2001 Santana High School shooter’s parole hearing. Jayne grew up in Southern California, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Diego State University, where she was an editor at The Daily Aztec.
