Gloria Corral is President and CEO of Parent Institute for Quality Education, a social justice and educational equity organization started in San Diego 34 years ago to empower low-income and immigrant families with knowledge and skills to and advocate for their children's education. Over 18,000 families are served across California annually and partners with districts in 13 states across the country. She has years of experience in education policy focused on access to quality educational opportunities for children and their families. Her experience covers early learning through higher education at the U.S. Department of Education, Congress, local government and statewide policy and advocacy organizations. Born in Tijuana and raised in San Ysidro she has a binational, multi-cultural experience.
