Alejandro Tamayo
Born and raised in San Diego, Alejandro Tamayo began his career as a teacher at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. He then worked as a technical director for The San Diego Union-Tribune before transitioning into a photojournalist role. He is an award-winning photojournalist, who has won 10 Emmys and the Robert Spiers Benjamin Award for best reporting in any medium on Latin America from the Overseas Press Club of America.
