
Tirso Ornelas stayed hot on Thursday.
The 25-year-old outfielder doubled two more times and Forrest Wall and Mike Brosseau both homered, leading Triple-A El Paso to an 8-5 win at Sacramento.
Ornelas’ two-double game lifted his batting line to .297/.380/.428. He has three homers and 26 RBIs and has seen his OPS jump from .646 in April to .826 OPS.
More recently, Ornelas has two hits in each of his last three games, which includes homers on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Wall’s home run was his second of the season. He has a .713 OPS.
Brosseau (.691 OPS) hit a grand slam for his fifth homer of the season.
Wall, shortstop Clay Dungan (.738 OPS) and designated hitter Yonathan Peralza (.820 OPS) all had two hits.
Right-hander Bryan Hoeing (13.50 ERA) allowed two runs in his first rehab appearance with El paso.
Left-hander Wes Benjamin (7.11 ERA) allowed three runs on five hits and four walks in four innings in the start.
El Paso is 28-26.

ROOKIE ACL PADRES (5-15)
Brewers 10, Padres 1: RHP Humberto Cruz (0-1, 3.00 ERA) walked two and did not strike out a batter in two innings in the start. The only hit he allowed was a home run. Triples from RF Jesmaylin Arias (.487 OPS) and 1B Kevin Hacen (.475 OPS) were the Padres’ only extra-base hits. LF Eguy Rosario (.511 OPS) went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.
