Preview: Borrego Springs carries a 13-game winning streak into the title game. Chris Alvarez leads the Rams, hitting .618 with 33 RBIs, and he’s 9-1 as a pitcher. Joey Rocha is hitting .560 with 25 RBIs and is 6-0. Mauricio Rodriguez has 24 RBIs. … The Rock Academy has won 11 games in a row. The Warriors are led by Ethan Daldo, who is hitting . 449 with 30 RBIs. Quentin Uhland is hitting .464 with 27 RBIs whle Logan Saathoff has driven in 26 and Connor Prunk 25. Uhland, Max Gimbel and Alec Endicott are the top pitchers. … The team didn’t play each other this season. … The Rock Academy has been to two other championship games, losing in Division 5 in 2012 and to Calvin Christian in last season’s Division 5-AA game. … Going back to 1982, Borrego Springs has been to four finals, losing all four. Preview: High Tech-San Diego has won three in a row and six of its last seven. The Storm are led by Jesse Rubio, who has 17 RBIs, while Neal Griswold has driven in 15 and Landon Carroll 14. Nano Acevedo is the No. 1 pitcher. … Crawford has three big boppers, led by Abraham Carillo-Ceron, who has 27 RBIs, Abbel Martinez, who has 24 RBIs and Alejandro Guzman, who is hitting .481 with 19 RBIs. Ray Sanchez, Jesse Atlamirano Verdin and Guzman are the top pitchers. …. The teams have played four times this season, with Crawford winning three by a combined score of 32-24. High Tech-San Diego has never been to a championship game. Crawford was a power in the 1960s, winning three times, but the Colts haven’t played for a title since 1976.
