Victor Figueroa is showing no signs of slowing.
The 21-year-old first baseman homered for the second time since ing low Single-A Lake Elsinore this week, leading the Storm to a 7-1 win at Visalia on Saturday.
Figueroa drove in three runs on three hits, walked and scored twice. He is hitting .429/.478/.810 in five games with Lake Elsinore after homering five times in 11 games (.605/.659/1.263) in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.
Figueroa was an 18th-round selection last July.
He had help on Saturday as all three Storm homers occurred after the start of the eighth-inning of a 1-1 game.
Figueroa’s homer broke a tie. Designated hitter Kavares Tears (.765 OPS) hit his third homer in the ninth inning and catcher Lamar King Jr.’s fourth homer later in the inning was a three-run shot.
Second baseman Yimy Rojas (.631 OPS) went 3-for-5.
Right-hander Luis Patiño (2.00 ERA) struck out four over three innings of one-run ball in his fourth start since returning from Tommy John surgery.
The Storm are 18-26.
