Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a man was shot at an apartment complex in unincorporated El Cajon early Wednesday evening.
Someone called about 6:20 p.m. to report hearing an argument followed by gunfire at the complex, on East Bradley Avenue, east of Graves Avenue and state Route 67, sheriff’s Lt. Sean Gallagher said.
Deputies arrived and found a 54-year-old man bleeding from a gunshot wound, Sgt. Rene Kirchhoefer said.
The man was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of a wound not considered to be life-threatening, Gallagher said.
“Deputies have detained all of the involved individuals and are still investigating, but there are no suspects outstanding,” the lieutenant said.
Kirchhoefer said deputies recovered the weapon and “there is no further danger to the public.”
No further information was released.
