The money will help the Humane Society care for 40,000 animals in the coming year, including shelter, medical treatment and behavioral , event organizers said.
The event offered walkers a 2-mile course or a half-mile, along with a free pancake breakfast, a blessing of the animals, live music, a dog spa and a Vendor Village providing animal-friendly products.
