The Torrey Pines High School Foundation hosted its annual Donor Appreciation Event April 18 at the iconic Belly Up Tavern. The lively evening brought together Falcon Fund donors, current and incoming board , and Foundation staff for a night of gratitude, celebration, and community connection, according to a news release.

This festive gathering served as a heartfelt thank you to the Foundation’s dedicated ers, whose generosity continues to enhance the student experience at Torrey Pines High School, the news release stated. Guests enjoyed live music, great food and drinks, and the shared joy of investing in the future of TPHS students.

The annual event honors families who contribute to the Foundation’s Falcon Fund—a vital campaign that s campus and classroom improvements benefiting all students. Recent Falcon Fund grants have made a direct impact across campus, funding student programs such as peer mentoring, free tutoring, and social-emotional wellness initiatives.

The Fund has also enabled technology enhancements, including classroom sets of digital microscopes and advanced science and engineering tools, as well as new modular furniture for the tutoring center in the Learning Commons.

Unlike program-specific donations directed toward extracurricular or athletic activities, Falcon Fund contributions empower the Foundation to foster a more connected and ed school environment—celebrating students, parents, teachers, and staff alike, the news release added.

The evening also welcomed the Foundation’s newest board , whose diverse experience and enthusiasm for education will help guide the Foundation’s mission in the years ahead.

“We are so grateful for the incredible community that stands behind our school,” said Joe Austin, executive director of the TPHS Foundation, in the news release. “This night was about celebrating the people who make our work possible. Their helps create exceptional opportunities for our students.”
