In celebration of 25 years of cultivating beauty and community, the Del Mar Rose Society (DMRS) will host its 25th Anniversary Rose Show and Rose Week from April 21 to 26, at the Del Mar Library. This milestone is marked by a prestigious Presidential Citation from the American Rose Society, recognizing the society’s long-standing service to the community and dedication to the world of roses. The event is free and open to the public.
On Thursday, April 24 beginning at 3 p.m., the library will be in full bloom as DMRS present their finest garden roses for friendly exhibition and official judging. Roses—excluding those entered in the People’s Choice category—will be judged by esteemed Horticulture Judge and Master Rosarian Dwyn Robbe, known for her expertise and contributions to rose cultivation.
The People’s Choice Award is a separate category, allowing the public to participate by voting for their favorite rose entries during library hours on Friday and Saturday, April 25–26. Ballots will be tallied at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26.
Visitors are invited to explore the floral displays and enjoy a full lineup of free public events, including live music, art, and hands-on workshops—all held among the roses at the Del Mar Library (1309 Camino Del Mar).
