Game-day deal: Padres fans heading to Petco Park have another pregame meal option: Houston TX Hot Chicken is serving a $20 game-day special. The deal includes an original hot chicken sandwich, fries and any beer of choice. New spring and summer menus: There are new dining options in Rancho Santa Fe as Lilian’s is introducing new brunch, breakfast, lunch and dinner menus for the spring and summer months. One of the new breakfast choices is the duck hash, which combines duck egg, confit duck, confit potatoes and caramelized onions. For lunch, guests can order a Mediterranean grilled chicken wrap with whipped feta, tomato, arugula and olive tapenade in a spinach tortilla. Cutwater anniversary: Cutwater Spirits is celebrating eight years of its tasting room and kitchen with three days of specials and giveaways. On Friday, there will be spirit tastings, complimentary glass engraving, anniversary glassware, an 11-year bourbon special and rum samples. On Saturday, guests can enjoy a country-themed anniversary party with a DJ and line dancing lessons. Dinner and a movie: The Pearl Hotel is hosting a culinary cinema experience with dinner from Cesarina and a showing of the romantic film “Big Night.” Cesarina will take over The Pearl Hotel’s restaurant and serve a five-course dinner that includes a Caesar salad, timpano, chicken piccata, sgroppino and an ice cream sandwich. Spring menu unveiled: Lazy Dog is introducing new appetizers, entrees and cocktails to its spring menu. Some of the small plate items include cauliflower ceviche and pea hummus. Entrees on the menu are a spinach enchilada casserole, a half-pound ribeye steak burger and loco moco fried rice. Breakfast for a cause: Breakfast Republic’s Hillcrest location is donating 100% of Thursday’s proceeds to the organization Dining Out for Life. This coincides with the San Diego LGBT Community Center’s 19th annual Dining Out For Life San Diego. New taco: City Taco is unveiling a new taco. The Kraken Taco contains grilled octopus and Spanish chistorra sausage in a tomato, onion and olive sauce. It’s garnished with cabbage, avocado and lime aioli. It’s served in a cheese-covered crispy corn tortilla. The $6.25 Kraken Taco is available through April 30.
