Rancho Santa Fe native Lauren Fields recently opened a new wellness sanctuary in the Rancho Santa Fe village. With Fieldswell, Fields has created an environment within the coaching space for to come and invest in themselves and their wellbeing, aiming to be a bridge between traditional therapy and personal development.
The sanctuary’s heart is Fields, a specialist in mindset development and holistic wellness who is a clinical psychologist, life coach, TEDx speaker and podcast host. The Fieldswell sanctuary opened on March 15 in the Plaza de Santa Fe on Paseo Delicias, offering services such as personal coaching, red light therapy, sound bowl healing and guided meditation among other science-backed techniques. The Fieldswell Formula is shared through both personalized coaching and group sessions, giving what they need to design a life they love.
“I believe our landscape shapes our mindscape—that our environment influences our thoughts, belief systems, and vision for what’s possible,” said Fields in a press release. “At Fieldswell, we provide the tools and the setting to shift perspectives, release limitations, and design a life that aligns with one’s highest potential.”
“I’m so excited to share it with everyone.”
The Rancho Santa Fe office is Fields’ first physical location. She has been seeing clients virtually and through her home office while building the concept for this space over the past decade.
“Every detail of this space was created with intention and love,” said Fields. The 500- square-foot space on the second floor of the plaza is calming and welcoming, designed by Madeline Spath Design. A red light therapy corner has a cozy reclining boucle chair for clients to relax; in another corner there’s a collection of crystals and candles on the brick hearth of a fireplace.
“My hope is that when someone walks through our doors, they feel as if they’ve arrived home,” said Fields. “That a sense of peace washes over them. That they feel safe, seen, and empowered to do the inner work required to align with their deepest desires.”
For Fields, home is Rancho Santa Fe. She went to R. Roger Rowe School for middle school and her parents’ offices were in the village. The Torrey Pines High School graduate rode horses on the trails and at the Rancho Riding Club, and played tennis at the Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club.

In working with clients, Fields draws inspiration from her own journey, one that includes overcoming a traumatic brain injury and years of personal exploration. When she was a young teenager, she had a life-changing experience when she was in a horse accident during a show jumping competition at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
She woke up from a coma at Rady Children’s Hospital with traumatic brain injury.
“The neurological symptoms that persisted are what got me interested in going inward,” said Fields.
For a while after the accident she tried to power through and prove that she was ok, resuming riding, studying business at Southern Methodist University and eventually moving to New York City. But as the issues just kept coming up, she finally started paying attention to what was going on inside of her and searched for something more in life. She embraced her ongoing process of recovery and became a certified health, wellness and life coach; a yoga trainer; and earned her master’s in psychology from Pepperdine University.
Her 2023 TEDx talk, “The Space Between Falling and Getting Back on the Horse,” was centered on her healing and transformation and led her to start her Fieldswell podcast, more boldly sharing her message with others to pursue their full potential.
Fields moved back to Rancho Santa Fe two years ago, back to her small hometown after living in big cities like Dallas and New York City and traveling the world. She knew she wanted do open her sanctuary in Rancho Santa Fe and felt it was fate that she found the space in the village, a block away from where her parents used to work.
“I’m in the position now where there’s nowhere else I would rather be, I’m so happy to be here. I’m exactly where I’m meant to be,” Fields said. “Fieldswell is my way of giving back to the community that shaped me, creating a space where others can experience the same sense of belonging and transformation.”
