Coast & Valley Real Estate Group will present an exclusive Art Mixer on Saturday, April 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 12860 El Camino Real #100 (One Paseo building) in of Make-A-Wish San Diego.

The event will provide a unique opportunity for designers, individuals, and corporations to acquire extraordinary statement pieces that elevate both private collections and corporate environments—all while contributing to a powerful cause. Guests will experience an inspiring evening filled with stunning abstract and watercolor art, a silent auction, fine wine from Ponzi Vineyards, and delectable appetizers, all while connecting with fellow art lovers and community leaders, according to a news release.

Artists showcased at the event include award-winning and internationally recognized artists, such as Sheila Daube and Cecilia Cresto along with local award-winning watercolorist Carol Van Vooren.

Daube’s abstract art highlights the power of abstraction in large format utilizing powdered pigments, gold leaf foil and numerous paint mediums. Her work has been featured in national shows, publications, private collections (nationally and internationally), as well as regional and nationally recognized galleries.

Daube has mentored and provided instruction to many artists throughout her career. As an instructor for small children in her early career, Daube seeks to retain the freedom and fearless approach to art. Daube has received numerous awards locally and regionally for her abstract works, including Best in Show, First Place and Honorable mentions, the news release stated.

Under Daube’s mentorship, local artist Cecilia Cresto has developed her abstract techniques with spontaneity and experimentation to create “authentic and alive” pieces. Cresto’s awe-inspiring abstract, figurative, and landscape art explores value, contrast and texture while considering balance within a composition. With guidance from Daube, Cresto has sought to incorporate gold leaf as well as charcoal within her work. Cresto’s work has been sold locally and internationally. Cresto is honored to have received numerous awards throughout the last three years.

Carol Van Vooren is a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society and the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, where she draws inspiration from the outdoors to showcase light, shapes, and design in her breathtaking watercolor paintings.

All three artists’ large and small works will be available for viewing, bidding, and acquisition. Proceeds from several of Daube and Cresto’s works will be contributed 100% to Make- A- Wish San Diego. A portion of all other works from the event purchased between April 26-28 will be donated directly to Make-A-Wish San Diego, helping to fulfill the dreams of children facing critical illnesses, the news release stated.
