New signs and more police presence coming to bike path
New signs and increased police presence are eyed for the La Jolla Bike Path in an effort to deter e-bike use and off-roading.
The La Jolla Parks & Beaches board was told last week that there has been a lot of erosion lately on the hillsides around the path because of those activities.
Volunteers who maintain the path have been collaborating with the city of San Diego to update the signs indicating the rules for e-bike use.
In the meantime, San Diego police officers are increasing their presence in the area.
