The Brandeis San Dieguito Chapter will hold its annual Book and Author Luncheon on Tuesday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lomas Santa Fe Country Club, 1505 Santa Fe Drive, Solana Beach.
This year’s event features four local authors:
–Shayna Kaufmann, PhD, clinical psychologist and certified mindfulness meditation teacher, will discuss her book “Embrace the Middle: A Woman’s Guide to Mindfully Navigating the Challenges, Celebrating the Joys, and Finding Power in Midlife.” Kaufmann is a published researcher, community leader and popular speaker.
–Linda Moore, “author, traveler, and recovering gallery owner,” will be reviewing her book “Five Days in Bogota.” Kirkus Reviews said it was “a pulse-pounding game of cat-and-mouse.” Moore’s 2022 book “Attribution” was the 2023 National Indie Excellent Award Winner in Literary Fiction.
–Stan Schatt, PhD and Tom Lobl, PhD will be presenting their latest book “Live Long and Prosper: Keys to a Longer Healthier Life.” Set for a publication date in June, the book will look at the latest research on longevity, the dos and do-nots, and what is coming from the drug industry in the near future.
Brandeis invites the public to come and meet these local authors, buy their books and enjoy a delicious luncheon. The cost for the event is $55. Any amount over $45 is a tax-deductible donation to Brandeis University’s “Engineering the Future’ Campaign.” The deadline for registration is March 15.
