The San Diego Wave FC went literal when it came time to design their new jerseys for the 2025 season.
The result: A deep blue “Altamar” kit designed to look like the sun’s reflection off the water. The club will wear the blue uniforms on the road during the 2025 season, which begins next month with a road match against Angel City FC in Los Angeles. The home uniform, featuring a white, pink, blue and orange “Del Sol” jersey and blue shorts that debuted last season, remains unchanged.
The new jerseys — altamar is Spanish for “high seas” — feature a “dynamic combination of deep ocean blues and tide-like teals which highlight the club’s spirit,” the team said in a news release. The uniform replaces the pink road kit that the team wore last season.
Players will model the new gear Thursday afternoon during a party at Belmont Park. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Beach House, and is free to fans who through the club’s website.
The jerseys are currently on sale at the Wave’s online team store.
