Solana Beach-based Urban Plates has launched a new Everyday Value Menu in response to rising food costs and increasing financial pressures for its guests. The new menu features “12 Meals Under $12” with prices starting at $8.95 without compromising on portions or quality, according to a news release.
The reimagined Everyday Value menu features new additions and enhanced favorites all made from scratch with the quality ingredients that Urban Plates’ guests have come to expect. The average price reduction across the new menu lineup is 12%.
“Urban Plates is taking a stand against inflation,” said Saad Nadhir, Urban Plates’ CEO and co-founder in a news release. “We’re making our menu more accessible to more people and for more occasions without changing quality or portions. Our mission is to make craveable, wholesome and clean food accessible to all, and our new ’12 Under $12’ menu makes Urban Plates more affordable than ever with twelve great meals that start at just $8.95 every day.”
The 12 Under $12 menu includes items like the Beets and Avocado Bowl, a half sandwich with soup cup or side salad, a cheeseburger and fries and the Nashville Hot Tender sandwich.
Urban Plates started in 2011 when founders Saad Nadhir and John Zagara opened their first restaurant in Del Mar Highlands Town Center. It has since grown to 19 locations, with expansion plans underway including a fourth San Diego location in Mission Valley next year.
