Community celebrated America on the 4th of July by participating in the Del Mar Foundation’s popular annual parade that started at Powerhouse Park.

The parade is a Del Mar tradition, led by the fire truck and junior lifeguards carrying the 4th of July banner, followed by city council, Uncle Sam, kids on creatively-decorated scooters and bikes, young ones in strollers, parents, grandparents, neighbors, and festively-dressed dogs.

Del Mar Community Connection’s “Singing Together” group presented a short program of July 4th-themed songs. After the parade, participants were able to enjoy a holiday cookie, plus lemonade donated by Jake’s.
