The Del Mar Village Association will welcome summer with its annual Del Mar Summer Solstice event on Thursday, June 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Powerhouse Park.
With the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop, the Summer Solstice event includes food, drinks, good vibes and live music by local performer Ben Benavente.
The event features bites from more than 15 award-winning Del Mar Village restaurants, including Adelaide at L’Auberge Del Mar, Monarch Ocean Pub, Tamarindo and Viewpoint Brewing Co. plus longtime favorites Beeside Balcony, Il Fornaio, Jake’s Del Mar, Poseidon, Sbicca Del Mar and Zel’s Del Mar, among others.
Summer Solstice’s beverage lineup includes sips from Carruth Cellars, Cazadores Tequila, Casamigos Tequila featuring Curious Juniper, Rombauer Vineyards, Caposaldo, Propaganda Wine Co., Fall Brewing and other wine, beer and spirits.
The event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit DMVA, allowing the organization to further its mission to the small businesses that form the heart of the Del Mar community. Through this financial backing, DMVA can continue to implement programs, initiatives, and activities that enhance the local economy, preserve the area’s unique charm, and ensure Del Mar remains a vibrant place for residents and visitors alike.
