Voices for Children hosted its third annual Uplifting Voices fundraiser May 18 at the Del Mar Plaza to raise funds for its Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program and youth in foster care. The fundraiser featured award-winning country music artist and New York Times bestselling author Jimmy Wayne, who shared his experience in the foster care system and how the love and consistency of a few individuals changed the course of his life, according to a news release. Attendees also received a signed copy of his book, Walk to Beautiful.

In addition, the event included gourmet hors d’oeuvres, specialty drinks, a live auction and more.
