Defending champion Max Homa highlights 2024 Farmers Insurance Open field in La Jolla

Seven past champions of the PGA tournament at Torrey Pines Golf Course have committed to play in this year’s event Jan. 24-27.

Seven past Farmers Insurance Open champions have committed to play in this year’s PGA Tour event, which returns to La Jolla’s Torrey Pines Golf Course next week.

Defending champion Max Homa highlights the commitments. Homa shot a final-round 66 to win the 2023 tournament by two strokes. He has notched six career PGA Tour victories, four in Southern California.

Homa will be ed at Torrey Pines by 2022 champion Luke List, 2019 champion Jason Rose and past champions Jason Day (2015 and ’18), Brandt Snedeker (2012 and ’16), Scott Stallings (2014) and Nick Watney (2009).

Six winners of major championships — Day, Rose, Hideki Matsuyama, Shane Lowry, sco Molinari and Stewart Cink — have committed to play this year.

The field will be finalized Friday, Jan. 19.

In the first two rounds, players will be split between the North and South courses. Those who make the cut after the first two days will play the final rounds on the South Course.

2024 Farmers Insurance Open

When: Wednesday through Saturday, Jan. 24-27

Where: Torrey Pines Golf Course, 11480 N. Torrey Pines Road, La Jolla

Tickets: Prices start at $80 for the first two rounds, $90 for the Friday session and $100 for the final round. All ticket prices will increase Sunday, Jan. 21. Adults can take one child 15 and younger for free. Discounts are available for senior citizens and the military. All tickets for ission and parking are digital only.

Parking: Parking begins at $40 and will be available at:

• Del Mar Fairgrounds, 322 Via de la Valle (with shuttle; lot available first three days)

• Sanford Consortium, 2880 Torrey Pines Scenic Drive (all four days)

• Scripps A lot, 10820 N. Torrey Pines Road (final day only)

• Scripps B lot, 3506 Cray Court (final day only)

• Hilton valet and bicycle valet, 10950 N. Torrey Pines Drive (all four days)

Drop-off and pickup for ridesharing services will be at 2800 Torrey Pines Scenic Drive all four days.

8:30 a.m.: Gates open

8:50 a.m.: Tee-off

Noon to 4 p.m.: Golf Channel broadcast

4 p.m.: End of play

• Friday, Jan. 26

9 a.m.: Gates open

9:15 a.m.: Tee-off

Noon to 2 p.m.: Golf Channel broadcast

2-5 p.m.: CBS broadcast

5 p.m.: End of play

• Saturday, Jan. 27

9 a.m.: Gates open

9:15 a.m.: Tee-off

11 to 1 p.m.: Golf Channel broadcast

1-5 p.m.: CBS broadcast

5 p.m.: End of play
