The San Diego Gulls have a set a time and date for their 2023-24 home opener, one day before the AHL’s schedule announcement.

The Gulls will host the Ontario Reign on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. at Pechanga Arena. The home opener will be the first for new coach Matt McIlvane, who replaces AHL veteran Roy Sommers as the head coach of the Gulls. San Diego is the top minor-league for the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks.

The rest of the Gulls schedule will be announced by the AHL on Wednesday. Tickets for the home opener can be purchased by ing Gulls Elite ; single-game seats will go on sale later this summer.
