A new homeless shelter opened in San Diego this week.

Located in the Midway District, the shelter has 150 beds, and it’s the first in the region to offer mental health and addiction services on site.

There are about 8,400 people experiencing homelessness in San Diego County, including 1,600 in downtown San Diego alone.
