UPDATED:

High surf and record high temperatures throughout the county made for summer-like conditions in San Diego this weekend. A high surf advisory remains in effect through Tuesday with waves 4 to 8 feet and sets to 10 feet south of La Jolla. Temperatures in the 80s attracted thousands of visitors to San Diego beaches. Parking lots were full at places like La Jolla Shores and Mission Beach. A cooling trend is on the way this week.
