We’re not OK with holiday music starting this early. But holiday desserts? Season’s greetings!

Starting Friday, Provisional Kitchen, Café & Mercantile at the Pendry San Diego hotel in the Gaslamp will sell freshly baked seasonal sweets that are available for pick-up.

For November, there are 9-inch sweet potato pumpkin pies and pear and apple crostatas. In December, choose from the spiced yule log, chocolate peppermint cheesecake and peppermint bark.

The dessert sale kicks off a slate of holiday meals, deals and events at the Pendry, including Provisional’s 2nd annual ChefsGiving on Nov. 14. The multi-course feast, to be prepared by 12 notable San Diego chefs (Brandon Sloan, Jojo Ruiz, Brian Redzikowski, Claudette Zepeda, Davin Waite, Matt Gordon and more), features wine pairings from Michael Mondavi Family Estate.

Tickets are $160 and, in the holiday spirit, include a $30 donation to the San Diego Food Bank.

Holiday desserts-to-order

Friday through Dec. 31. 425 Fifth Ave., Gaslamp Quarter. $40-$45. Orders must be placed 48 hours in advance. (619) 738-7300. pendry.com/san-diego/seasonal-happenings
