Pechanga Resort & Casino will soon start taking reservations for its expanded hotel, which will be the biggest of its kind in California.

The Temecula casino on Aug. 28 will begin booking for its new 568 hotel rooms and suites that are part of a multiyear $285 million expansion.

When complete, Pechanga will have 1,090 accommodations, making it the largest casino hotel in the state.

In San Diego County, only Harrah’s Resort Southern California comes close to that size, with 1,065. In July, Pala Casino Spa & Resort announced its own $170 million expansion, which includes a new 349-room hotel tower, bringing its room total to 854.

Sycuan Casino is building its first hotel, with 300 rooms and suites, as part of a full-scale $226 million development project. And Viejas Casino & Resort is also in the final stages of construction on a 158 all-suites hotel wing. Expected to open around the same time as Pechanga, the additional accommodations will give Viejas 391 overall.

Pechanga’s new 14-story high-rise will house 96 suites and 472 deluxe hotel rooms. The expansion also includes two new restaurants, a two-story luxury spa, 65,000 square feet of meeting and event space and a 4 1/2-acre pool complex that is scheduled to open in April 2018.

Room rates for the new tower will start at $139, Sunday through Thursday, $199 on Friday and $209 on Saturday nights. accommodations will start at $219 for a 550-square-foot junior suite. Corner suites — each 650 square feet and with floor-to-ceiling windows on at least two sides — start at $259.

To mark the opening, Pechanga is offering two Stay & Play packages for the casino’s club . The “On Another Level” package, which starts at $199, includes an overnight stay Mondays through Thursdays, plus $100 spa credit $40 in casino credits and a $20 breakfast credit. (The promo code is “GO1” for that package.) An a junior suite starts at $279, $319 for a corner suite in this package.

A “Gamers Package” starts at $149 for one night’s accommodations, also Mondays through Thursdays, and $40 in casino credits. (Code “GO2”) An a junior suite starts at $229, $269 for a corner suite in this deal.

The packages are available from Dec. 26 through Feb. 28, 2018 and must be booked by Sep. 30.

In a press release, Pechanga described the new accommodations as state of the art, each with technological features like 55” and 65″ TVs, USB and charging stations on each nightstand with up to 8 ports to charge, a Roomcast remote for personal smart devices and button-controlled hotel service and Do Not Disturb indicators.
